I grew up on a small ranch in the mountains west of Boulder, Colorado. I have worked in the plant ecology field for the U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Colorado State University, University of Washington and University of Montana. I have a Certificate in Natural Science Illustration from the University of Washington (2016) and have volunteered as an illustrator on the Oregon Flora Project and the 2018 updated edition of the Flora of the Pacific Northwest.
